Telegram from SS Cragpool 1938
First page of a telegram from a son to his mother in 1938 from the SS Cragpool via the British Wireless Marine Service. Written in fountain pen on the printed page from the Marine Service. Missing second page of the transmission with identifiers and name of writer. Provides information on the bout of malaria that has affected the manning of the SS Cragpool and provided the friend of the writer with a promotion to Skipper. Also mentions a trip around the countryside with a nurse in a 'Ford 10'. No foxing but page slightly crumpled from current storage.
